Tesco to take over Nisa Supermarket

There have been rumours circulating for some time that Tesco is to take over the Nisa Supermarket opposite Watermen’s Square. That has now been confirmed by an application by Tesco to take over the alcohol licence for the premises. They are applying to sell alcohol during their opening times of 0600 – 23.00 every day. Closing date for comments to the council is 9th February.

The shop will presumably be branded as Tesco Express, giving the supermarket chain two outlets in Penge.

In December 2011, Bromley council reviewed the Nisa Licence following two instances of sales of alcohol to under age people. Further conditions were added to the licence.
