Meeting of council tonight. Labour councillors questions on education support, policing, councillors’ pay and more.

At tonight’s meeting of Bromley Council, the Labour Group of councillors will be asking questions which

  • ask why a leaflet from Bromley Council was delivered alongside a leaflet campaigning for Boris Johnson
  • highlight what we believe to be the dangerously low level of support for schools which may be facing difficulties.

We will oppose the level and number of “Special Responsibility Allowances” the Tories are proposing to pay to councillors

We will propose a motion calling on the Mayor of London to urgently restore the number of Police Community Support Officers in the borough following the recent loss of 60 PCSOs.

We will oppose a Tory motion on the Mayoral election and argue that Ken Livingston is the best option for Bromley residents

We will support a motion sending loyal greetings to the Queen on the occasion of the Diamond Anniversary of her accession to the throne.
