Wendie Roche honoured by Mayor of Bromley

Wendie receives her award from Cllr David McBride, Mayor of Bromley

Wendie Roche, the Chair of  Penge Partners and the leading light behind the annual Penge Festival, was honoured by the Mayor of Bromley last week.   She received the Mayor’s award for Voluntary Service.   Penge Partners is a local group that supports community events across the area.   The Over-60s event next Saturday is one such activity.   It can help groups apply for grants, arrange insurance and publicity.   Penge Festival celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.   Wendie is also on the committee for Penge Forum, which organises quarterly meetings around issues of local interest.  Wendie’s award is much deserved.  Penge needs more community activists like her.
