The planning committee unanimously refused planning permissions for 150 Maple Road. A single storey front and rear extension, loft convertion with rear dormer and rooflights to front and also a change of use of premises from a drop in counselling service to 1 one bedroom flat to rear and shop unit to front.
We were able to support the Maple Road Residents Associations’ view that the proposed singe storey front extension would result in an unacceptable tunnelling of the adjoining commercial building. We also cited that this was clearly an overdevelopment of the site and should be refused. The committee agreed and supported this decision.
