Mormon Church Application Deferred

The application for a new church at 7 to 15 Oakfield Rd was deferred at a Plans meeting last night at Bromley Civic Centre.  Officers were concerned about the impact of parking on a property in Rosewell Close and we highlighted other areas that we felt needed addressing, ie, soundproofing, hours of operation, potential land contamination arising from the previous industrial use and also security measures.   A previous scheme at this site was allowed on appeal in 2003.  The site is located between Cambridge Grove and the disused health clinic.

  1. ‘Deferred?’ So just when, exactly, is the right time to despatch the Latterday Saints to a potentially toxic environment? >:D
