Lifts at Crystal Palace Station on track for spring 2013 opening

Labour GLA member, Val Shawcross, tabled a written question to the Mayor of London for the October Mayor’s Question Time session on the arrival of the lifts and the question and answer is pasted below:

Crystal Palace station lifts
Question No: 3223 / 2012
Valerie Shawcross

I welcome the refurbishment of the Victorian ticket hall at Crystal Palace and am very impressed with the work that has been done there. We still await the new lifts however. Can you confirm that these are still on schedule to be up and running ‘early in 2013’ as described in TfL’s literature?

Written response from the Mayor:

The second phase of the Crystal Palace Station project will introduce three new lifts, providing step-free access from the newly refurbished ticket hall to all six of the operational platforms.

This work is on schedule to be complete by spring 2013.
