New Beckenham Station Car Park Extension Update

The proposal from the majority group on Bromley Council to extend the station car park by 66 car parking spaces will be heard at a meeting of the Plans 1 sub committee on Thursday 21st February at Bromley Civic Centre at 7-00pm.  Officers are recommending permission.  A revised plan will reduce the depth of the car park by approximately 7 metres giving a buffer zone between the application site and the rear gardens of properties in Bridgelands Close.  Let us know your thoughts on this matter.

  1. Spencer Harradine says:

How about encouraging more people to cycle to the station – TFL will provide cycle parking – this will also not increase the congestion in the local area and in 66 great big car spaces you will be able to accommodate 792 bicycles – now that would be progress – oh and you would be helping to keep pollution levels stable at their already unlawful high – and helping those poor residents of Penge and Cator to avoid becoming any more obese.
