Barclays Closure in Penge High Street

We have been contacted by Barclays with regard to the closure on October 11th of their branch at 119 High Street.  Ironically, Penge has not been doing too badly during the recession but this is  something that we could have done without, particularly with Nat West having gone as well.   Barclays have an agency arrangement with the Post Office where personal customers can make deposits and withdraw funds.  Barclays inform us that there will be no compulsory redundancies as a result of this decision.  Affected employees will be offered roles at branches nearby.
