Community use (temporary) agreed for former CAB office in Snowdown Close

The council is close to reaching an agreement with Christ Central Church in Green Lane to use the property on a temporary basis during the summer months whilst the Council seeks offers and makes a decision about its future.   Potentially, this could mean community based services being offered up to at least the end of October.   The Church are considering using the building to support football activities on the adjoining Royston Fields and to provide advisory services.

The building was vacated by the Citizens Advice Bureau when the council reduced their grant.  (See previous blogs.)  We are campaigning for the building to remain in community use rather than being sold off by the council.
