Last chance to save Snowdown Close building for the community. Links here:

As we have reported previously, having thrown CAB out of the offices in Snowdown Close, the council now want to sell the building and land for housing.  Much as we recognise the need for more housing, a couple of houses here are not going to make a huge impact.   On the other hand, the youth services that are being run thehurch from Green Lane in the interim are clearly providing a much needed service locally.   The church has started a petition to try to persuade the council to change their mind and accept a bid for the building so the church can carry on this much needed work.  There has already been coverage of their campaign in the News Shopper.
