Oakfield Centre Planning Appeal

Last week, an appeal was heard at the Civic Centre over the non determination of an application by London and Quadrant for their proposals for 32 new houses and flats on the former Oakfield Centre site in Oakfield Rd.  We argued that a four storey building was excessive at this location and that the number of units should be reduced.  We are not saying no to badly needed housing but this area off the Groves Estate is already one of the most densely populated areas in the borough.  We will keep you informed of the outcome.  A decision is expected within 6 weeks.
