Flats Above Kent House Tavern Rejected at Committee

The proposal for eight one bedroom flats above the former Kent House Tavern pub at the junction of Somerville Rd and Thesiger Rd was rejected last night at a meeting of the Plans 2 sub committee. Councillor Kathy Bance spoke against the proposal along with a local resident due to concerns over overdevelopment. The pub itself does not need planning consent to be turned into a retail shop.

One Response to Flats Above Kent House Tavern Rejected at Committee

  1. Well done Kathy and fellow Penge and Cator councillors! Let’s hope a decent pub firm is able to take it over.
