Budget Consultation Meetings

Bromley Tories are undertaking their annual round of consultation meetings with the public this year over their plans for £60 Million worth of cuts to the budget over the next four years. As ever, no opposition members will be allowed on the top table to answer questions. The first meeting is on Thursday 20th November at 7-00pm at Orpington Methodist Church in Sevenoaks Rd and the second is on Friday 28th November at 11-00am at the Council Chamber at Bromley Civic Centre. Clearly there are difficult decisions to be made and good public services do have to be paid for but some of this austerity is going too far and too fast. We also believe that the health service and the council should be working far more together to reduce waste and improve efficiency. We know that some Tory Councillors are keen on getting rid of public libraries and the remaining good quality youth provision is also under threat.
