Penge High Street – Fly Tipping

In order to stop the daily fly tipping on High Street Penge, Bromley Council are erecting 3 temporary signs. Hopefully with more permanent signs in due course.

We welcome this action and will continue to push for a permanent solution to this problem. Cllr Brooks represents us on the Environmental PDS and has worked tirelessly to keep this issue on the agenda.

One Response to Penge High Street – Fly Tipping

  1. Mayfly says:

Signs aren’t the solution here – this is a waste of money. Do you really think someone with a car load of rubbish intending to fly-tip will stop fly-tipping because of a sign?

The problem is Bromley Council’s policy on charging for small amounts of DIY waste, which is obviously driving the increase in small amounts of fly tipping volumes that we have seen recently.]

Great if you could look into this.
