Penge Forum – Sgt Rob Goodwin sadness of unsolved youth murders in Penge

Sgt Rob Goodwin spoke at the Penge Forum meeting on Policing and Crime in Penge.

He gave an overview of reduced crime figures which was encouraging but he urged residents to report all crime.  Police numbers are assigned according to the needs of each area.  No reported crime in an area means no need for extra police on our streets and our police team can be sent to target crimes in other areas.  Reporting crime gives our police team the opportunity to secure the officers they need and so protect our streets and apprehend the criminals.

Sgt Rob Goodwin also spoke of the Metropolitan Police force’s 94% conviction rate on murders.  He was saddened that Penge has had 2 murders of youths in 4 years and both remain unsolved.  He believes the answers lie within our community but people have not come forward.  Our police, as does our community, want justice for these parents.

This is the 4th anniversary of the death of Sam Guidera so if you have any information on the murder please call 020 8345 3734 or talk to Sgt Rob Goodwin.

The family of Kadar Hussain are also still grieving and deserve justice at the loss of their much loved son, so if you have any information please contact Sgt Rob Goodwin.
