Biggin Hill Airport Plans Agreed

As you may have heard on local media, the full Council meeting last night agreed to extend the operating hours at Biggin Hill Airport by 36 votes to 10. The Labour group supported the proposals but the Tories were very split on the matter. After an eight week consultation period, an unprecedented 41,000 plus people responded to air their views. 31,500 people agreed with the plans and 10,000 rejected them. The Executive, which is the main decision making body of Bromley Council agreed the proposal by 4 votes to 2 subject to further negotiations with Biggin Hill Airport Limited.
