Kent House Tavern Plans Rejected At Appeal

The proposal to create 8 x 1 bedroom flats above the Kent House Tavern at the corner of Somerville/Thesiger and Kent House Rds has been rejected by a planning inspector on the grounds of the fact that the development would not provide satisfactory living conditions for the prospective occupants. An application for 3 x 1 bedroom and 1 studio flat were rejected by the Council in November.

  1. We are DESPERATE for a decent pub in the Penge / Beckenham area. PLEASE can someone please sort this out, there would be a stream of happy punters if it was half decent.

    • Hello Matt

See my response to Joan but please also note that we do have two very decent public houses in Penge being The Bridge House Tavern and The Goldsmiths which is an Antic pub. We are still working on getting the Kent House back into action.

  2. Guess the ‘prospective occupants’ will just have to keep making do with Cator Park for the time being, then?
