The Former Anerley Town Hall to be retained

Good news from our Crystal Palace Ward Councillors

The CPCDT were last night granted the 40 year lease for Anerley Town Hall.

They also managed to secure some £30k additional funding from LBB to upgrade the IT system there, which was not expected.

Given that a year ago LBB were aiming to demolish the building, sell the site and build a new small community centre, this is actually big news for the area. The overflow car park will be sold off for development – regrettable but a reasonable compromise.

Hopefully now the Trust can secure additional funding from the GLA for the development of the business/enterprise centre and from other donors for the upgrade of the building.
