Penge Lane Emergency Gas Works Repairs – Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice

The following Emergency Gas Works are expected to continue for up to 8 weeks.

Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice – Penge Lane, Penge Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(2)(a)

T H E Council of the London Borough of Bromley HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that on Monday 2nd November 2015 in order for Southern Gas Networks make an emergency repair to a large network transporter gas main it will be necessary to close Penge Lane, Penge to through traffic.

WHILE the restriction in paragraph 1. remains in force traffic will be diverted via two diversions. Diversion One is Penge High Street, Green Lane, Parish Lane. Diversion Two is Penge High Street, Crystal Palace Park Road, Lawrie Park Road, Westwood Hill, Sydenham Road, Newlands Park, Lennard Road, Parish Lane.

NOTHING in paragraph 1. of this Notice shall apply to anything done with the permission or direction of a Police Officer in uniform or Traffic Warden.

NOTHING in paragraph 1. of this notice shall apply to vehicles being used in connection with the work.

DURING the period of this Notice the Council may make an Order under Section 15(8)(b)(i) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to continue in force the prohibition specified in paragraph 1 above until the works are completed.

Access to properties will be maintained as far as is practicable from either side of closure as appropriate. The point of the closure will be at the junction with Queen Adelaide Road.
