High Street, Penge Regeneration Project

Plans for the regeneration of our High Street are underway.  The New Homes Bonus money will enable the improvement of our High Street.

Please try to attend one of the walks or get in touch with your ideas.  We plan to ensure this money really does make a sustainable difference to our High Street, Traders, residents and  visitors.

We have been encouraged by the work already done by Virgil Rappa and our Town Centre Manager, Cheryl Curr.

A message from our Town Centre Project Planner, Virgil Rappa:
Justinien from Kinnear Landscape Architects promoting their community engagement programme for their Stage 1 design work have been busy distributing posters to shops that were willing to post them in their windows, placing them in community boards on the high street and in the public spaces.

The feedback they have gathered so far from about 50 individuals and about a dozen shops is very positive.

They will be organising walks on Friday the 20th (9.30 AM, 1.00 PM, 2.30 PM, 4 PM) and Saturday the 21st (12.00 PM, 1.30 PM) and will be at the Christmas Market to present initial design ideas on 26 November 2015 3 – 7pm,
