Action to lessen the Impact of Gangs in Penge

Following on from last weeks’ Children’s Trust Stakeholder Conference one of the outcomes was that we were asked to provide information about activities for young people, aged 10 and above, in the Penge/Anerley and surrounding areas.

If you know of any such activities please send details to us or Denise Mantell, London Borough of Bromley, Planning & Development Team, Strategic & Business Support Services, Education, Care & Health Services, 3rd Floor, Stockwell Building, Civic Centre

Tel: 020 8313 4113 www.bromley.gov.uk

Include:
Type of activity
Organisation running activity
Location of activity
Day and time of activity
Contact information
Website with further details

This information will be collated and used to help young people avoid the influence of gangs in their lives.  As Christmas and New Year is fast approaching, please send by Friday 8 January 2016.

  1. The Gang agency are aware of several known meeting places in the area and they shared this information with us. They also advised that all the management of those known locations have been very cooperative and continue to work with the agency.
We need to ensure the safety of all our traders and residents so please do not put anyone in the frame on this blog site. If people have concerns please use the appropriate contact details; Bromley Gangs Unit, PY CID, A/DS James Ivens, DC Haydn Wilds, PC Scott Springall, 020 8721 4506, PY-Gangs@met.pnn.police.uk

  2. 2016 heralds a new dawn – no longer will crime and policing matters remain the domain of the faceless few, and the cynical spin-doctors. Anyone who locates themselves in the middle of town puts themselves in the frame, and shouldn’t be too surprised to be blackballed when hogging the limelight.
