Another Gas Escape in Penge

Temporary three way signals were put up early this morning on Crystal Palace Park Road at the junction with Thicket Road. ISGN advised that the burst is on a 12 inch main.

Repair has started and the gas board are hopeful that works may take up to a week.

There are likely to be delays in the area this morning and LBB have advised SGN that manual control must be applied onto their temporary lights during the peak times (07:00-09:30 and 15:30-19:00). This will be applied from tonight and will hopefully minimise delays.

We will be asking for a full report on the gas mains in Penge.
