Message from LBB Traffic Officer:
Additional update on the emergency road closure at Crystal Palace Park Road.
Southern Gas Networks (SGN) closed the road in the early hours of this morning (Thursday 28/01/2016). These are classed as urgent works, therefore the road was closed as an emergency precaution by the gas board. The repair is the width of the road and it was unsafe to maintain a flow of traffic. Crystal Palace Park Road will remain closed until Saturday 30/01/2016.
There are two diversions in place:
Diversion One – Westwood Hill, Sydenham Road, Newlands Park, Lennards Road, Parish Lane, Green Lane
Diversion Two – Westwood Hill, Crystal Palace Park Parade, Anerley Hill, Anerley Road, Croydon Road
Southern Gas Networks have updated their website and Twitter feed and LBB are re-tweeting SGN’s tweet (with link) to help publicise the closure. I’ve copied and pasted the link below so you can forward this information on.

We have stressed to SGN that this is a very busy road and they will be making every effort to re-open the road on time.
We’ve ensured that the Thames Water works on Anerley Hill have now been temporary reinstated with lights switched off to keep the diversion route flowing and to reduce any further congestion.
Ben will keep us updated throughout the next few days, if you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We thank Ben and his team for the regular updates and the effort he has had to put in regarding these gas leaks.
