Another Gas Leak in Penge

Please see latest report from our Traffic Officer

Southern Gas Networks (SGN) have reported a further gas escape in Penge.

The leak is in Parish Lane at the junction with Penge Lane.  The gas board will be installing temporary three way lights here today (Wednesday 24/02/2016) to enable them to complete their repairs. I’ve asked them to work extended hours so works are completed sooner, with manual control on their lights during the peak times to try to minimise congestion and delays. I’ve also requested for SGN to update their website so LBB can retweet information.

I’m expecting works to be in place until early next week (possibly Monday 29/02/2016 /Tuesday 01/03/2016), but will confirm this later in the week once SGN have more of an idea how bad the leak is and have made some progress with their repair.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards
