Water Mains Works Crystal Palace Pk and Thicket Roads

Notification from LBB, Ben Howard, Traffic Officer

Thames Water need to replace a section of water main at the junction of Thicket Road and Crystal Palace Park Road. They previously worked next to this section of water main earlier this year. However, the next part of the main is very delicate and has now been highlighted as a high risk for future potential bursts.

Thames Water are being pro-active in replacing this main and works will begin within the next couple of weeks. Temporary three way lights will be in operation from Monday 13/06/2016 for up to two weeks whilst the repairs are undertaken. Thames will be manually controlling the phasing of the lights during peak times to minimise delays as much as possible. They are in the process of getting advanced warning signs displayed to pre-warn motorists of the works and these should be displayed within the next couple of days.
