Somme Commemoration

A Somme Commemoration Service has been organized by our local Army Cadet Force, ACF Hut, High Street, Penge for Friday, 1 July 2016 at 07.30am with Rev. Nigel Poole of St John’s Church leading the service.

30 Penge service personnel died at the Somme – 2 on the first day of conflict.

This is an opportunity to remember the sacrifice they made.
We will be supporting the event and an invitation has been sent to the Penge Air and Sea Cadets.

On Saturday, 2 July at 3pm there will be a commemoration service at St George’s Church, Beckenham. Thanks to Second Lieutenant Chris Dreyfus and Rev. Nigel Poole for setting this up so quickly.
