INADEQUATE: Bromley children’s services and safeguarding slammed in inspection report

Bromley’s second failed Ofsted –

Bromley’s children’s services and safeguarding have been labelled “inadequate” in all areas by Ofsted inspectors, who said the service had “widespread and serious” failures that leave children vulnerable.

The service is responsible for children’s safeguarding, looked after children, care leavers and children requiring adoption.

However the damning report says there has been a “corporate failure by the local authority that leaves too many children in neglectful and abusive situations for too long”.

We will issue further reports in due course

anyone that has required help from the council regardless of what department, its the same story, we cant help, insufficient funding, blah blah blah! its like the emperors new clothes, all shiney and gleaming until you need their services!
yet the council tax and senior staffs salaries rise , cash for failure,
housing, child support, and strret cleansing to name a few, whilst our toothless mp and councillors refuse to puttheir sorry heads above the parapit!

    • We hope you are not referring to all Cllrs as useless. Penge and Cator Councillors have their heads very much above the parapet, as do our colleagues in Crystal Palace and Clockhouse. We tackle every issue raised by our residents. We may not be able to resolve them all but we keep pressing and seeking resolutions.
Why not come and watch your councillors in action at the Council meeting on Monday, 4 July 2016 at 7pm.
We will be raising all the issues our residents have put to us and challenging the 51 conservative councilors on their strategy of buying properties to support their investments instead of using the monies available to support Bromley residents.
If you have a particular issue please let us know and we will endeavor to assist.
