Update from Ben Howard. LBB Traffic Officer:
UK Power Networks (UKPN) have confirmed that they have still been unable to fix their fault. This means that further repairs will be ongoing and the lights will be moving up somewhere between Thicket Road and Oakfield Road. UKPN have advised that they will be surveying the area this evening to work out where the next excavation will be. Reinstatement will be taking place over the next two days and I will be meeting UKPN on site on Wednesday morning to agree what traffic management will be in place for the next stage of works.
I will send an additional update on Wednesday afternoon after the meeting and will be able to provide you with some more information, although at the moment it’s looking like we will be having lights for at least another week.
I will speak to UKPN regarding the lack of workmanship on site over the weekend, but am guessing it may be due to them not finding the fault and stopping works earlier than expected.
again incompetence being approved without punishment by the utility services and the borough traffic enforcement. i think Ben Howard is being treated like a toothless tiger, what are the councils power to deal with these repeated situations and what are the sanctions available, instead of being an apologist for these power companies!

The LBB ensure they are reimbursed for all costs associated with Utility companies including officer time.
Ben Howard does a great job for LBB and our residents and is well respected by the utility companies and your local councillors, so your remarks are not helpful and unfounded.
The council have no control over emergency works required for utility services which have to go ahead for safety reasons.
This year we councilors suggested a utility company, which caused a great deal disruption to our residents, offered sponsorship to the Penge Festival 2016 and they made a very generous donation. We are not just sitting back.
