Full Council Meeting on Monday Night

The entertainment takes place at 7pm at the Council Chamber at the Civic Centre in Bromley. Amongst the issues that we are raising are measures to combat speeding, the replacement of school nurses, the lack of access to the housing register and the usual street cleaning problems. Bromley Tories are putting forward a motion on grammar schools. Ironic really because thanks to the academies and free schools that they have encouraged, the Local Education Authority has no real say in what type of schools that they will become.

  1. “the usual street cleaning problems” – I’d suggest there’s a need for an extra bin in the vicinity of the BT telephone exchange near Penge West station, and the next stop by Little Ones childrens’ hospice shop. These get VERY overfilled to the point that litter spills onto the footpath. Russell White.

    • Thank you we will pass that on. The whole of the High Street is due for update from the New Homes Bonus money and street cleaning here is a priority. Several options being reviewed because we need a longer term sustainable resolution.
