Thames Water Works Crystal Palace

Message from Andrew Rogers and Ben Howard

In Crystal Palace Park Rd at the moment, near the junction with Thicket Road, outside the BT telephone exchange, there are currently traffic lights in situ which remain in place because Thames Water were working at this location overnight and unfortunately, we understand that the repair was more complex than anticipated and Thames now also have problems turning off the mains and therefore, will return tonight to complete the work/repair. In addition, as this is a significant main (12 inches), this work can only really take place ‘off peak’, at night, when water demand from households is lower. It therefore looks like there is no one on site etc today and whilst this is the case, it is because the work will (hopefully) be completed tonight.

We are continuing to pursue the weekend issue with Thames Water and this has not yet been concluded.

If there is further news about this, we will let you know.

Kind regards

Andrew and Ben
