Homelessness Crisis Worsens in Bromley

The number of households currently being housed temporarily by Bromley Council has shot up to 1350.  This is up nearly a thousand from the 2010/11 levels when the Labour government left office.  Bromley are having to spend another three quarters of a million pound to deal with the problem as many households can’t afford the private sector rents.  This is partly the fault of the welfare reforms being pursued by the government.
