Temporary planning consent for up to three years was granted last night for the former nursing home known as Benedict House in Copers Cope Rd to be used for 41 units of accommodation for those people in need of housing who are on the council waiting list. The accommodation will be staffed 24 hours a day, all year round. Benedict House closed last year after failing an inspection.
