SGN Emergency gas works in Rectory Road

Message from Ben Howard, LBB Traffic Officer

SGN have emergency gas works in Rectory Road, Beckenham at the junction with Blakeney Road.

Works are related to a broken gas main which is leaking and works started early this morning (Monday 15/05/2017). SGN are managing their works under temporary three way traffic signals.

LBB have requested extended hours of working and SGN will be manually operating their lights between 07:00-19:00 to minimise delays as much as possible.

SGN are aware of the major works currently going ahead in Beckenham High Street and we foresee works going on until the later part of this week, depending on the severity of repair.

LBB will send out an update on SGN’s progress tomorrow/Wednesday.
