Secondary School Plan Reversed

In an unprecedented decision, Councillors on the Development Control Committee voted last Thursday to reverse their previous decision last October to allow permission for a 6 form entry boys secondary school on a site between Chislehurst and Bickley Roads. The site (pictured below) would have been known as St Hughes Playing fields and be known as Bullers Wood School For Boys. The proposal was for the school to be housed temporarily at the nearby girls school during the construction period. The scheme was rejected on the advice of lawyers due to concerns over traffic issues.
