A planning application for a ten storey secondary school on the site of the former Department of Social Security building at the junction of Westmoreland Rd and Masons Hill was rejected last night at a meeting of the Development Control Committee. The school would have been operated by the SHAW Futures Academy. The site is featured below.
Council officers inform us that there is a gas leak at the junction with Westwood Hill in Lewisham borough. It is likely to be early next week before the issue is fully resolved. SGN will be working at the location.
